The instructions don’t tell you what and where the red, blue, & yellow wires in the heat cable go. There are only 2 load terminals.

Used for Patio floor heat with SunTouch HeatMatrix underlayment. Had that hot plastic smell when testing. Would have been nice if it had a plenum shield on the wires in the jacket, but still works great.

Below is other buyer explanation on how to connect the red blue and yellow wires in the product3 install the red wire from the cable to the white load wireon the thermostat.4) install the blue wire from the cable to the black loadwire on the thermostat.5) install the yellow wire from the cable to the ground wireon the thermostat.6) then install your 120 volt wires into the thermostat.7) you’ll need to purchase a temperature sensor wire. Youcan buy one on Amazon for about $15.00…..it

This is really cheap when I compare with other branded one. I installed this in my bathroom and it works pretty well so far (about 1 month). The thermostat that came with the heat cable is useless (not taking floor temp sensor). I bought a separate floor thermostat (SASWELL brand) and it works really well.

I buried this cable along the outer perimeter of a raised planter bed with sand-filled cinderblock walls. The cable is seated in 4″ of sand (2″ of sand all around the cable) with direct contact to the growing medium on one side and the cinderblock on the other. I’ve got a temporary greenhouse structure around the entire. I’ve had this installed and running for a two weeks now and so far it’s working; I’ll come back at the end of winter for an update.I did not use the thermostat included. I installed a lighted plug end to the heating cable (red and blue wires on the blades, yellow on ground pin) and plugged the cables into a AC timer like you might use to turn on/off lamps while you’re away from home. This is plugged into a circuit with a lighted on/off switch. I can see at a glance if the circuit is on and if the heat cables are on through the windows without leaving my house.

Purchased this cable as a substitute for a name-brand product based on the claims made in the description. The two different brands sound identical in characteristics. Unfortunately, the Building Inspector is requiring documentation of the waterproofness and safety of this cable and Vevor will not or cannot provide any. A full week, three different support people across two different support groups, and 15 messages later, we are told Vevor does not have any documentation to provide. We will now have to rip out this product, pay 10x more for the name-brand product, and redo the installation. Three weeks of lost time on the job schedule. We are sure this cable will work perfectly, but moral of the story: If you’re going to get an inspection (as you should!) pray the Inspector doesn’t ask for documentation because you aren’t going to get it!

Still installing in new construction of bathroom and closet.

Oerter the stat wire separately. Very little instruction given with these kits but they work so far. I’ll keep you all posted
