I had to take the mounting clip off the factory TC, and place it on this part in order for the spark gap to be correct. This unit came with an offset mounting clip that didnt allow it to protrude far enough past the firewall.10 second modification and about 20 minutes all told, my garage is toasty warm again.

Fixed my Thermoheat propane heater. It would light but not stay lit. Had to disassemble most of the covers to get to the thermocouple, but it’s fairly straightforward if you have any mechanical aptitude.

Installed on my Dyna-Glo propane and fix the problem with the flame not staying on at start up.Save the bracket from the original part and transfer it to the new one in order to fit correctly.

Have bout several from this seller. The item itself can malfunction, but this is not the fault of the seller. Seller provides the item at a good cost.

Remove old thermocouple, place this thermocouple in as the old one was in, move thermocouple to where pilot light stays on it at all times. Ng and LP thermocouple is the same. Note: Pilot fire must burn the tip of the thermocouple. it takes about 10 minutes.

My DynaGlo Pro variable 30,000 to 60,000 BTU fire canon suddenly wouldn’t stay lighted, so right away I suspected the thermocouple.Unless I did this wrong, installation of this simple 1-screw 2-wire part involves pretty substantial disassembly of the heater. The removal of the blower motor & fan is necessary. To get to two of the motor mount screws, the gray base must be removed. To remove the gray base (4 screws), the gas lines must be disconnected from the valve (2 flare nut fittings). There are a few zip ties that must be clipped to separate the thermocouple wires from the rest of the bundle. The burner can itself, nor the gas outlet inside the can, needs to be touched. Also worth noting, during reassembly, check all wires for clearance from the fan blades, and zip tie as necessary. There’s plenty of room in here, but it’s very easy to overlook this detail and have the blades hit a wire once powered up.In any case, the part itself is identical to the OE part, which is refreshing. I’ve done oven repairs where the thermocouple is “generic” and the wire length or fitting are different and require adaptation. This piece is a like-for-like replacement.

Works good. Easy installation on my dynaGlo 60,000 btu propane heater. Remove 16 screws (including the hold down clip). Remove rear cover and fan assembly. Cut 2 cable ties. Remove three wires from terminals (white, blue and yellow (the yellow is the wire to this part) in my case). Remove the copper colored wire (ring terminal/Phillips head screw, which is the 2nd wire on new part). I removed the hold down that came with new thermocouple and replaced with the old one. Reassemble making sure wires are clear of fan. Allow 10 seconds or so to warm up on the first firing. About 10-15 mins.

My Dyna Glo Pro propane heater would light but it wouldn’t stay lit if i turned the knob past “ignite”. I bought a thermocouple & installed it & it now works perfectly. Getting the heater apart was a but challenging but not impossible. Great find!

I bought a “broken” forced air heater and it would not stay lit. A little research suggested this was the issue. So after about ten dollars it works great now! I will say that it was a bit time consuming to switch out, but that was because of the design of the heater, no fault of the product.

I have bought these thermocouples in the past and have worked fine. On certain models of heaters, wires might have to be modified to connect to gas valve, but for the majority of heaters that I work on this is perfect.

Was hoping this would solve my problem with the valve not staying open once the bypass button was released, it didn’t and that’s no fault of the thermocouple. They could have put a longer lead on it, it was 6″ too short. Arrived exactly when promised.

Simple easy replacement. Great replacement part. Highly recommend.

I bought of these this for my Dyna-Glo 15,000 BTU Propane (LP) Single Tank Top Portable Heater and to have a spare, but the insulated lead was too short. I destroyed 1 trying to extend it…. I could not get that to work. If you are purchasing one of these make sure the leads will reach the intended connection. In the image provided the factory one is on the left and the one mentioned in this review is on the right.
