This tee-style ended up not fitting my pump, so I glued a PVC cap on the tee and just spliced the straight run into the pump discharge loop going to all of the jets on the Jacuzzi. It works great. You may need to run this on a separate circuit from your pump since this pulls about 12 amps by itself. If you keep your jets on the lower settings it may be o.k. but you’ll have to try it out on your system. You do need a dedicated ground (another grounding rod) for this so you don’t cook yourself if it ever grounds out. You can get the smaller 4′ ground rods here on Amazon if your hot tub pump motor doesn’t already have one installed, which it should. This heater comes with full installation instructions and the ground wire.As far as performance, if you can fill your tub up with hot water this can keep it nice and hot. If your water heater is undersized, like mine, just put enough water in the tub to submerge the pump suction and kick the pump on and let it run. This heater will maintain the temperature until your water heater has recovered and you can top off the tub with hot water.

I love this. I can now take a bath in my big ole tub and not lose hot water. I love that it allows me to truly enjoy a tub that I have used maybe 3 times in 13 year prior to this heater. I could not keep the water warm. Now I can. Hubby installed in around 30 minutes. No issues. Happy wife. Gotta love it.

Works as designed. We installed in a tub larger than the recommended max, but it still maintains the hot temperature (keep in mind these things are designed to maintain the hot temperature, not heat it all the way from cold). Found it $10 cheaper elsewhere, but chose to buy through amazon for convenience.
