First thing I was skeptical about buying this cause reviews were mixed. I opened it right away and there was a broken plastic peice inside the housing. Plugged it in and tried it out and amazing at how fast it heats up bolts. Worth the buy if u want a cheap Chinese tool.

I bought this for a job on my truck, because I saved more on labor than this thing cost. It’s not magic and can be awkward, but it does get stuff hot. I never could have removed some of the nuts and bolts without getting them real hot, and I didn’t want to use a torch.Once you get the coil really hot, one touch against something will crumble the white insulation off of the coil. Also the coils are just solid copper wire and it would be easy to make your own coils for custom application, and these coils can be easily bent at an angle to reach a tight spot. All in all, a useful tool I’ll probably use a lot since I also work on old rusty tractors a lot.

I have needed one of these for years. Finally pulled the trigger and wow what a product! Seems to be very industrial and heats bolts in an instant. Can’t wait to try it on the next set of cab bolts.

Use the leads as directed!! I think I over temped one. The insulation just crumples. Light never turned amber and I’m pretty sure I didn’t go over the 2 min mark by much.Works ok on smaller diameter bolts, not so good on big truck parts.

It arrived and looked good but I picked it up and it started to rattle. It would not heat up initially and the rattle got worst. Finally I removed some screws and opened it up; there must have been 20 pieces of plastic that feel out. Put it back together and it worked, still rattles but got the job done.

This is an extraodinary product that exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I purchased a used(good as new) offer to discover upon opening that one of the coils was destroyed. The damaged had been hidden by the deep foam cushion. I don’t mind buying some items that have been returned, and I also believe that the “condition rating” should be valid.
