I have a 3 season room that I wanted to turn into a 4 season room and this heater did the trick. I looked at installing a baseboard heating unit but it required that I tear up my kick moldings, required a remote thermostat, and would not force the heat into the room. When I sized the heater to the room (easy calculation – floor area x 10 = watts you need) I wanted a heater which pushed the heat into room. The installation was a snap in spite of the installation manual. The bottom line: cut out a 18 1/2″ high opening in the drywall between 2 studs (assuming they are 16″ on center) and the hard work is mostly done. The wiring threw me for a loop – I am used to using 4 conductor wiring for a 240V application. In this application you use #10-2 conductor wire – which actually has 3 wires in it. The middle ground wire serves the same purpose as the white (neutral) usually does. Make sure to use #10 wire – the unit draws 16.5 amps at full load. #10 will handle 30 amps so you have a generous safety factor. I used a double throw 20 amp breaker. The unit has a thermal safety feature so no fears there.Overall I am very pleased with this unit. It is reasonably quiet, very compact, and heats my 13′ x 18′ room quite well. It took a few days to get the room temp back up to 68 degrees but that was more of an issue with my floor (ceramic tile on cement) than the heater. This is a great heater for any cold room you may have.

The unit would not work and required a new board to fix. When i called it in they would tell me it shipped when it had not. When i called they would then ship a board but not all the boards as they told me they would. I had to call again and again they told me it had shipped but again it had not . I called again and then it shipped. This process took around 3 weeks to get the unit working, It appears to be a good unit but I just got the boards installed yesterday so too early to tell overall

I researched wall heaters extensively for about two weeks, and settled on this one, based on the btu’s and the fact that it is programmable. I just got it fired up: Easy to install, easy to program, and heats our large bedroom very well (about 500 square feet.) I love the fact that you can program it so that it’s only on when you need it to be; shuts off when it reaches your desired temp; and there’s a vacation “hold” mode too. Zone heating is working well for us, since heating oil has gotten so expensive. We don’t use our oil furnace now much at all; we installed a wood stove for the main living area (about 1500 square feet) and now this Smart Series Heater. -So far so good, and both have already paid for themselves in fuel cost savings.

Works pretty old keeping the room warm but is very loud. It’s a constant loud noise when it runs. Which is almost all day to keep up with the cold we’ve been having.

Great heater. Works great and I have seen a decrease in my electric bill since I had these heater installed. (average bill $220 down to $170) during the weather months. Keeps a large 20 by 18 room(old house) very comfortable.

Would have given it a 5 if the fan was quieter, but all in all a very good heater, I recommoned if noise is not an issue. Also it recommends 10 Gage wire 10-3

I bought this heater to maintain heat in my 20×20 finished basement. Heater does an adequate job keeping the temperature at 68. The heater makes a bit more noise with fan running than I expected. Overall the unit is well constructed and easy to install.

This heater does work well, it was relatively easy to installl and, it looks nice. I would like to warn people about how noisy this heater is. This heater is suitable for a shop or, something but, not a living room. The noise level is just too much. I’m going to replace it.

Great heat output for our large bathroom.

I looked at many different models and ultimately picked this heater because of its rating. I am happy with my purchase. I rated this a 4 for only one reason, the shipping. I received the box with the unit that has now protective foam around the heater, packed in a bigger box stuffed with a little packaging paper for padding. Of the two I received, one had a bit of damage to the box and the fan frame was bent slightly. Fortunately this is all thin sheet metal so it was easy to just bend back. Everything works fine and they keep the house very comfortable.

This heater is *NOISY*. So noisy that all the other superlatives about installation and operation are just irrelevant. This is OK to heat a garage but don’t, DON’T, think about using it in a living space. I put *two* of these in a large (1000 sq ft) finished basement and I’m going to replace them both. Just Say No…P.S. I gave the heater two stars because its OK other than the noise issue. I’m probably being too generous but I didn’t think it quite justified a one star review. Close, but not quite.

Heater only lasted 3 months (December 2022-March 2023) before quitting and not able to turn back on. Control screen not showing anything. Still waiting for electrician to come and pull unit to determine why it completely shut off and won’t restart. Very disappointed!
