Heater works great! No complaints. However, installation was not simple. Had to hire an electrician, cut into wall, etc. I knew that would be necessary, but was a little more work than I expected. Great price for the heater, but unless you can install yourself, plan on spending a couple hundred more on professional installation.

More than I expected. Heats up the bathroom in seconds, very warm. The blower is strong yet quite. Very easy to install. My hardest task was running the new wiring to the breaker panel because I had to go thru walls and a floor and a ceiling. I have it installed in the shower area which is smaller than a normal bathroom. At first the fan would go off after a few minutes, than I realized I should probably leave the shower area door opened to the rest of the bathroom. No problems at all now. It heats up the shower area and the rest of the bathroom quickly without shutting down. Love it! The heater now turns off after about a minute. Called the dealer who is now sending a new internal thermostat. Still waiting for it. Called the dealer again because I haven’t received the thermostat after over two weeks. Charles was not cooperative. Finally received another thermostat still shuts off after a minute. Will now buy an external thermostat!!!

My wife likes the bedroom cool, and I like the bathroom warm. So, rather than heating the entire upstairs, we use this wall heater in the bathroom. Problem solved!Edit 11/14/2018: This broke about a year ago. I tried contacting the manufacturer through their website with no luck. But I called back today, and now they are sending me a replacement! Cool! If it gets here and works, my review will go back to 5 stars.Edit 1/6/2023: I meant to get back to this sooner. After calling the company, they sent a replacement quickly back in 2018. It’s now 2023, and it’s still working. I’ve since added an Ecobee thermostat and a 120V relay to be able to control the bathroom temperature remotely and to be able to set a temperature. I’d recommend this!

Be aware that this has the same part number and I replaced earlier version of this device. It is about 1″ smaller in width than the device I replaced it with. I also had issue with thermostat or temperature feedback loop that I haven’t figured out yet. I have had to run this device without the front cover. I know it is something I could probably adjust but haven’t figured it out yet. This device heats quite a large area for its size. I have it installed in a cabin and it heats the entire living quarters.

The first one died after five years, when it’s thermal fuse overloaded – okay. The second to last one just stopped working after less than a year with no hint of why.Nothing last forever, but this appears to be designed to be a regular maintenance item.Because I had this less than a year, I tried to look into the warrantee for this and the manufacturer’s site (Marley) yielded zero results when you search for warrantee. They do have a tech support number, but that leads to a very strange, scammy spammy phone tree that never identifies itself. I obviously bailed. UPDATE: I used their web form to submit a complaint and they gave me a replacement without hassle.

Ordered this unit to replace a 20 year old unit from same manufacturer. didn’t fit in the tiled wall opening perfectly but we made it work. First heater had an unconnected wire to fan which we didn’t notice, and this caused the heater to overheat when turned on since fan wasn’t turning. Once the wire was connected it worked fine, but blades were melted. Wrote two requests for help thru amazon.com channels, to no avail. finally found a number to contact Sylvane directly and they Immediately sent us a return authorization for the defective heater and we had the new one in two days. Very helpful, no questions asked, just on the ball about making things right. Heater works well to warm up our bathroom, and i would recommend to others.
