This was a very simple installation that anyone who can wield a screwdriver while standing on a step stool can do. Unlike the older one that this one replaced, the new one has an auto-resettable thermal cut-off switch. I only hope this one lasts as long a the old one (which was about 20 years). Just be sure to clean out the accumulated lint every year or so, depending on how often it gets used.

These are an upgraded model to the original dead heaters I had. They’re not quite as hot as the originals but that could be from me cleaning the fixture while I had it torn apart. Installation was easy, only tool necessary is a Phillips head screwdriver. Removing the old heater caused some of the plastic to break off. Be sure to clean your fixture and reinstall the ground wire or you’ll burn your house down. The new units have a self resetting heat fuse instead of the one time fuse on my original. Haven’t tripped it yet but if it goes I’ll update this.

It was easy to install and saved the cost of an electrician. Very good value and works better than the one it replaces. The original didn’t have a reset function due to overheating.

The replacement heater was an easy replacement. I works flawlessly. I like the upgraded thermal protector that resets itself verses the old unit that it replaced that required me to buy this unit because it failed.

This part is great when you have the old style heater that has the resettable fuse. The new style has a one time blow fuse that once overheated you have to replace the entire heater. Very unfortunate. This was easy to replace and works fine.

Heating unit was very easy to replace on the fan housing.I recommend that the fan & motor should be cleanedbefore assembling and installing the unit.

Verify the motor is good; the motor may not run if the element has failed. Very easy DIY; plug and play at its best!

I ordered my unit with information that I took from the product sheets I had kept after we had the original unit installed. The picture looked like the unit I had replaced some years back, being the horder of the family I hung on to that unit as the only thing wrong was the heating element. When the replacement part arrived and I went to install it, I was suprised to find that the last time the heating unit went out I purchased an entirely new unit that wasn’t conpatiable with the part I received. As, I said before I had kept the original unit with the bad heating element which I was able to repair with the new part. And I horded away the different unit and will replace the heating element and use this as a backup unit. We have 3 of these units in our home. No matter which unit you use they are both very simple and easy to install.
