We wanted an easy way to increase the water temperature from the default 120 to 140. This remote is super easy to install and program. Since our bathtub faucet is older, even on the hottest setting, colder water would come through. When we increase the water temperature, the bath is nice and hot. We just have to remember to turn it back down after the bath. Great product though.

Controller arrived today & took < 5 minutes to mount & install. The RC-7651M was to replace an older model (RC-7646M-2) which needed to be reset frequently & was hinting at failing. I contacted Noritz to confirm if the 7651 model was the correct replacement & would work. They confirmed it would the same day via email. The thing that most reviews d/n elaborate on is the connector. I’ve attached a pic for reference. The wire from controller is short & in almost all cases will need a compatable extension cord. The connector is a two prong quick connect, which matched what was previously installed for me. So no worries there. Other reviews said they had to replace the cord & rewire. If your old model has the two prong connector you should be fine (I would check w/Noritz just to be sure).New unit installed & we have constant hot water & no reset issues thus far. May update if things change/develop.

After several months of erratic showers and talking to several plumbers, suppliers, on both coasts, I had to figure out it that it was the remote controler that was bad and Amazon sent me one the next day that I had installed. Very happy now!

The model of tankless we have calls for this optional controller unit and model number. The remote connection on the tankless water heater has 2 possible options, a connection using a male and female plug or 2 posts to wire exposed wiring to. This unit in this order only comes with the plug style however the plug has 3 prongs in it where the female end of tankless water heater only has 2. Doesn’t make sense why they don’t sell these with the different connection options. I ended up cutting the prong end completely off of the remote and using the 2 wires to wire up to the two available posts… also because the wires are the same color it took a couple seconds to figure out the orientation which eventually turned on the remote. The issue was the hot water was too hot so we turned it down to 105 which is a desirable temp to the users in the house. Hopefully this info is helpful.
