So if you read the reviews, you’ll see that in previous years, the stock between the smaller “Mr. Heater Little Buddy” was mixed up with the stock for the larger “Mr. Heater Big Buddy” despite the model number clearly being different. Some customers complained that the bag was way too big, while others complained that it wasn’t big enough. But these reviews were primarily from 2018-2019 and the more recent reviews didn’t mention much about incorrect sizing.Being sold and shipped by Amazon, I wasn’t worried that they wouldn’t take accountability if they shipped me the wrong size, I just rather not go through the hassle (time and effort) to return it for the correct one. I also purchased a Big Buddy that was on back order, and it finally arrived, so I purchased this bag shortly afterwards.Amazon didn’t disappoint. The bag matched what was advertised and was the correct size. A perfect fit in fact. This bag also has a smaller zipper compartment at the front, perfect for holding the larger propane adapter hose I purchased to be able to hook this heater up to a standard 20lb propane tank instead of using the 1lb canisters. There was also enough room to store the fan adapter I purchased. The material is very sturdy and abrasion resistant, but I did see where they cut costs a bit and hence why I dropped a star on the rating. The zippers on the front and back of the bag are single zippers and not double zippers, and they only provide one sling style crossover strap. The strap hook is also stationary and does not freely rotate, so if the strap gets turned around, you have to manually unwind it so that it fits flat on your shoulder. The mesh pockets to hold the 1lb propane canisters don’t have a cinch strap on top, just an elastic rib that will most likely wear out over time and render the pocket useless. Lastly, older models of this bag had two small straps sewn in on the front and back of the bag to allow for hand carrying which many preferred as this bag could get a little heavy when fully loaded with accessories. It’s not a bad bag overall. It is well thought out with the extra pocket in the front and the side canister pockets, but I think they fell short on the little details. These corner cuts puts the bag on the pricey side at 35 bucks. IMO, it’s probably worth 30% less.If you do have the Big Buddy version with the fan, I recommend you don’t buy the OEM power adapter, it has some pretty bad customer reviews and I would believe them. I’ve purchased cheap adapters before, and this OEM one seems to fit that bill. It’s a dated design and all they’ve done over the years is cut the costs of making it. Perhaps Mr. Heater is locked in to some long term contract, but what they really need is to revamp the design and use better materials. There are better adapters out there by 3rd party manufacturers and they’re cheaper, just make sure it meets the required specifications (6V @ 0.8A). I purchased a one by PWR+ and it works like a charm (you can check out my review there as well).

This is the official (made by Mr. Heater) carry case for the Big Buddy heater series (4000/9000/18000 BTU/hr.). Depending on where you got your heater from, they can be red/green/yellow and some have a built-in fan but they all have the same shape and fit this bag. It’s the one with 2 heating panels and a knob on the right side of the machine and swing-away doors on both sides to hold two 1lb canisters. This bag is too big for the Portable Buddy which only has 1 panel, knob on the left and only holds one 1lb canister. The case is well built. There are 3 zippered compartments and 2 mesh side pockets and includes a strap.- main zippered compartment holds the Big Buddy Heater- front zippered pocket holds any accessories (regulator hose, etc.)- rear zippered pocket is “flat” and can hold the instruction manual- 2 mesh side pockets hold 1lb propane canisters- removable padded shoulder strapThe main compartment has a dual zipper flap to give it a generous size opening when unzipped, which makes it easy to put the Big Buddy inside. The zippers are high quality but I found it a little cumbersome to fasten the Velcro at the end of the main compartment zippered flap. It does the job but it is a bit of a blind operation and I wish they would improve on the Velcro closure for the flap.I really like that the front zippered compartment is large enough for accessories you’ll likely use for the Big Buddy. Pictured is a 10′ hose and it fits easily with plenty of room, so I expect it can accommodate any of the hoses and adapters/regulators sold for the Big Buddy. I am hoping to buy a F271803 12′ hose with regulator in the future to allow me to connect my Big Buddy heater to a 20lb propane tank without a fuel filter. The side mesh pockets hold 1lb propane canisters perfectly, I am not sure if it will hold up after repeated use and do wish that they had a more user friendly design, one that’s more 1 handed.Overall happy with this. I had been wanting to get a bag for my Big Buddy and this fits the bill. I would give this a solid 5 star if they improve on the main compartment flap Velcro and side pocket design.

Really nice bag, very well made, plenty of storage for 2 green propane bottles and a extension hose for running a large bottle. Very well made. Very sturdy material. Very happy

Works great for storing heater when not in use

I appreciate that the case is lightweight but strong and seemingly durable. Have used it for two soccer seasons and no issues. Like that you can carry two spare canisters as well as a few other items like hand warming packets, etc.

We have two of the Mr. Buddy heaters and we always just left them out and then when you needed them you had to round up the hose and clean out the flame nozzle from bugs and spider webs. Finally bought the storage totes and now we can keep our propane hoses, extra 1 lb propane tanks and other accessories organized and bug free. Works great for storage and transport.
