I have tried literally ever space heater know to man and woman and this is by far the best. I have had a Lifesmart 6 element quarts Infrared for 5 years now and it has never failed me. Great bang for the buck. Forget Mica thermatic they will either kill you with their off gassing or burn your house down specially the De longhi, stay away from them if you value your life. So I though to my self I might need a new QI heater in the case my old on crapped out. So i bought a new one from Amazon and saved over 30.00 bucks over Walmart. What a revelation this new one is the LS-1000x-6w It is have the size of my old one which is great but seems to put out about 30 percent more heat. This heater is the Bomb. If you run these heaters at low they cost a dollar a day for electricty at high about 2 bucks. There is no way to discribe the warmth of the heat these things produce. I am dying of Cancer so being warm in the Bend Oregon winters is a high priority. I remember in the old day’s when Bob Villa was pitching the old Eden Pure QI heaters on the TV in info commercials .This heater is twice that at one quarter of the price. Plus it has a lovely oak cabinet. I love to see the red of the QI kicking in makes me feel loved. You can go wrong with this heater.
Not a Happy customer –
I just bought this heater on Thursday before the arctic blast hit here over Christmas weekend. I am paranoid about the furnace quitting and the water lines freezing. We have one of the newer high efficiency furnaces. It kicks off and on every few minutes. The furnace is great, the only time it has ever given any trouble is when it gets extremely cold and in kicking on every couple minutes. Never a major issue just fails to start and needs reset on the inside. I bought the second heater to go with the older one we already had in case of furnace issues while we were at work. We got to -8 with wind chills of -44. With both these heaters going in our 1500 sf home. The furnace only kicked on every 6 to 8 hours. They did even better than I had ever hoped. Not sure what the electric bill will be, but I don’t care. I was able to work and not worry about the furnace quitting and the pipes freezing.

I had one of these heaters for many years. It finally died. I bought this one to replace it. It was shipped faster than expected and was exactly as described. Infrared is so warm and cozy and helps with my heating bills.

We have an engineer neighbor, he figured out this heater costs 10 cents an hour. I’m hopeful of that. Our heating bills seem to reflect that.Our furnace needs to be replaced. Mid Winter we hadn’t heat for 3 days. It was about 30 degrees out side. The heater and lots of candles, shutting off parts of the house.. we managed just fine. After $1000.00 part and repair to the furnace. We need another furnace, and it’s only 70% efficient. We’ve been supplementing our heat source in the mean time with this lovely furnace.

This is a great heater. The remote pooped out shortly after it arrived. I called the company and they said is under warranty and they sent a new remote. Stand up company I think. I recommend it.

Heats our house like a champ. But we do have another heater similar to this one we also use when the temperatures gets really cold. I would order again if I ever have the need to.
