Seems well built but first one was defective.. the igniter clicked but didn’t light. I was issued a fairly quick refund after returning the item. I ordered a second and it works. There’s really no alternative to this as far as size and quality of build.

The worst mistake one can make is thinking this heater is one of those ‘plug in wall and heat the entire castle’ ripoffs. This is the finest butane canister heater I’ve ever seen. HOT HOT HOT ! High to low settings and super quality made. Won’t blame you for any scepticism , I’m sitting here roasting in front of this thing and I hardly believe it myself. Plus huddling around it is absolutely not necessary … this is not some weak ‘personal’ heater, for pointing at yourself while behind a desk. This one heats an entire area and the highest setting is often not necessary. Get this, you’ll thank me later …..

Mine came with a broken case, the hinge was broken. I can probably fix it with duct tape. It was shipped from Korea so I’m not going to bother returning it over a broken hinge.I tested this for CO. I ran it in a closed bathroom and the carbon monoxide detector showed 24 PPM after 15 minutes. So you will still need to be careful running this indoors, but it’s still much safer than a propane heater.Butane only works down to about 40 degrees. Colder than that you need white gas or propane, which give off much more CO in my tests.Aside from these limitations is a nice, well made heater.

Biggest plusses:1) works GREAT if you get one with an evenly lit panel2) incredibly fast shipping from Korea3) build quality (other than heat panel quality control) is exceptionalBiggest drawbacks:1) may have to return one or two to get ONE with an evenly lit panel2) each return WILL cost youThe cost of returns to make up for poor quality control on the ceramic panels brings the cost/benefit down pretty quickly.Once you DO get a good panel, though, it’s a great unit. It is NOwhere near as tippy as a Mr. Heater unit. The angle of the ceramic panel keeps heat on the floor low enough to not (usually) melt stuff. The handle will NOT stay standing in the rising heat, so that handle stays cool enough to move the unit if need be.As long as you follow directions and listen for gas flow before popping the igniter it lights right up.Oh, yeah, directions in Korean… so MAYBE I was following directions. I’d rather have the unit than wait for a translation :)This would have been 5 stars if the first unit had arrived with uniform panel heating.

The media could not be loaded. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Only reason why I haven’t frozn to death in my RV or van. Very convenient, portable and gets super hot really quick! A can of Butane at my local Dollar Discount store cost about $2 and lasts 4-5 depending on the “heat setting”. Just do yourself a favor and buy one you won’t regret it. P.S SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN “MR.BUDDY” HEATER.

Pro’s…lights easy, puts out a lot of heat.Cons…its metal, and the entire heater gets very hot. Set it where you want it before lighting it up, don’t try to move it once its been on after 30 seconds…or you’ll blister your finger like my wife did…

Heater is very compact but gives of a massive amount of heat for its size. It needs to be used safely as it doesn’t have knock over protection and you MUST have a non flammable barrier under it.
