Works perfectly for stubborn bolts and heating races to pull off shafts.

Oh my god. Had a outer tie rod stuck for months, no wrenches with Cheater/wrench extender or propane torch would break it loose, used this for about 30 seconds and the tie rod came loose like butter. This thing is the bees knees, I used the self wrap coil and BAM came off. Can’t wait to use it some more! Next job I’ll try it on is on exhaust bolts

Will add photos/videos soon to this review. Yet we have used it today in the shop, and this thing is just a beast of a machine. Not only does it perfectly do what it says on the tin, the quality of the tool is quite evident that it is Made in USA. Very happy to have bought this.

At around $650, this thing is probably the most expensive tool I’ve ever bought. But for working on rusty cars, hands down it’s also the best tool I’ve ever bought. I don’t even use my impact anymore, simply heat bolt/nut for ~15 seconds, try to break it free with my 3/8 drive ratchet, and if it won’t come loose with a moderate amount of torque (usually does on first try) I heat it some more. With this method, no more snapped bolts! And living in Michigan I work on some rusty cars and have removed bolts that had no business coming out without snapping.Ideally you want to get the nut/thread side of the fastener, but even if you can only reach the head of the bolt, getting heat into it that way works (just takes longer, up to a minute of heating).Really the only limitations of this are if the fastener goes through plastic or a rubber bushing, you’re going to be limited on how much you can heat the bolt without melting the surroundings (still much better than an open flame though).I’ve had my tool for about 2 years now and cannot recommend this enough if you deal with rusty fasteners often.

This induction heater is outstanding!! A must have if you live in the rust belt. For me, living on long Island NY where everything is rusted and seized, buying this was a no brainer. Nice thick power cord, blow molded case isn’t overly big for no reason like most tools you buy these days.Comes with a few coils to get you started, but I recommend you buy an extra pack of various sizes. Induction Innovations has a wide range of coil sizes and styles.Definitely a little pricey but I see this being perfect for areas you really don’t want an open flame, like fuel tank straps. Also great for frozen brake bleeders. Being able to quickly add flameless heat to an specific area without worrying about damage to surrounding areas. Also just found out they make thin low profile coils to fit around lug nuts inside the rim. Definitely be buying those. Can’t tell you how many Jeep/Dodge lug nuts I’ve had to melt out with a torch, effectively ruining the rim.

I’m a moblie truck mechanic and acetylene torch not always easy in the open air with wind and all but with this for loosening bolt is a must runs off a 5000 watt inverter no problem. Thank for a great product.

The product works very well. The customer service is great – The gun would not fire and I thought it was defective. Sent it in for warranty. When I received a call back turns out that I had inadvertently caused the problem. In spite of that they warrantied the product for me any way – Could not ask for me. Although it is easy to get it working, I strongly recommend reading the manual in detail (it’s a short read) to understand how to use it once you fire it up, that way you can avoid my mistake.

This is my second induction heater. I burned up my first one. Blew internal fuse. I cried. Saved my money and got this one. Love it. Hid it from others. It’s MINE!!

As listing “it is good old boy quality work man ship”. Body of tool material hard and feel solid not bad odor for China stuff. If you want part work when you use it. This is right tool for you. Thanks Uncle Sam.

This tool is great. Total time saver.Unfortunately built with a design flaw. It has an internal fuse that blows if you use the over use or over heat it. Only way to fix it is to send in for repair. I’ve owned the original mini ductor for many years and we put that tool through heavy work and it never failed. This new one seems much more sensitive without any failsafes.
