- SAFE TOUCH GRILL – That’s because our grills are made out of material that doesn’t burn skin. Our heaters also automatically shut off power if it tips over.
- MODERN DESIGN – wall mount design means you don’t lose floor space. Perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, offices and more
- ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT – LED display shows you what the ambient temperature is and helps regulate the temperature efficiently. (goes to dark mode after 5 minutes of no activity) Included remote control allows you to control the temperature with ease
- COMPACT – Uses less than 2 square feet of wall space and plugs into a normal 110v outlet. When installed over the outlet, you can hide the cord behind the heater.
- 1000 WATTS of power and 3400 BTUs. You can heat up to 750 sq. ft. as a supplemental heat source, or 200 sq. ft. as a primary heat source.

All electric heaters are limited in the amount of heat they can produce by the amount of watts they consume. One electric heater is much like another, watts are watts but in my opinion these Heat Storm heaters are in a class of their own. I now own three of them, one of the 1500 and two of the 1000 wifi versions and I am having to resist the urge to buy more. I live in an older farm house that had no heat in the upstairs bedroom for more than 20 years. I came across a review of the 1500 wi-fi unit a few years ago and decided to give it a try.Mounting was easy and setting up the wi-fi very straight forward. Using the android app to control and set up different heating profiles is a snap (just remember to hit save). I went along like this for a couple of years and then it happened, I bought a boat with a small aft cabin for sleeping.I considered various marine grade heating solutions but was limited in the amount of power I could use by the size of the battery bank and the inverter. As an interim solution I bought a 1000 watt model and set it up to heat on the low setting to draw only 500 watts while I was on the inverter. Worked like a charm. I decided to set up the boat with a wi-fi hot spot so I could monitor the heat from home and I was hooked. I bought another one for the galley and now wake up to a toasty cabin and galley. One suggestion that would make it better would be to integrate the software with Alexa to allow control of the devices. Currently you can see the heater and toggle it on and off from the Alexa app but you cannot see or change temperature or fan settings. A minor inconvenience to be sure.If anything changes I will be sure to update this review, but for now I am extremely happy.Update: Just found out that the latest wi-fi enabled unit I purchased is recognized by the Alexa app as a thermostat and has basic temperature controls available, nice. My previous purchases show up as heaters in the Alexa app that can be turned on and off, but have no temperature control.

I’ve only been using this heater for a short time, but my initial impression is excellent.1. Installation – It included all hardware, clear instructions, and a template complete with a level to help place screws/etc. Far better than most products of this type I buy. With this said, their sheetrock anchors seem a bit skimpy, but in my case that was a non-issue since there was wood behind the wall.2. User interface – Perfectly usable. If all you want is a simple heater, you turn it on, set your temperature, and you are off to the races. it remembers the prior temperature, so really, you can just turn it on and off once you have it set right.3. Smart Features – This uses the Smart life app, which is used by many of the smarthome accessory makers. It works and ties to Alexa, which is the smarthome assistant we use. Within minutes I had it paired and was controlling it using voice commands. In the app, you could set timers, control the temp, and toggle it on and off so it did everything I really wanted it to do. My intent is to setup an Alexa routine that turns on the heater 10-15 minutes before we get up in the morning.4. Power Levels – The manual even describes how it controls the power level depending on if you have it set to “Low” “Auto” or “High” which is awesome and demystifies how “Auto” works. I’ve included a photo from this page. Additionally, when the heater turns off, it leaves the fan on for a bit to cool down. Once again, something not everyone would included that may extend the life of the internals.5. Construction – The outside construction is all plastic, which is fine as long as it is safe. It feels like it is good quality and well thought-out/designed but not over-built. It’s not a tank, but as an example of the thoughtful construction, the top two attachment screws on the rear have rubber grommets around the mount point, which is not something they would have added if they were trying to make them cheap as possible. The bottom mounting screws also have metal inserts, which will better assure you do not end up stripping them out over time.6. Noise – It is a heater with a fan, so it will make some noise. I’ve had heaters that are both louder and quieter in the past. I would call this a mid-loudness heater. Not annoying, but you know it is there moving air in the room.7. Heating Ability – I have not measured it, but stated max draw is 1000 watts, so it isn’t the most powerful heater on the market but it is fine for the size of our bathroom. The fan moves enough air that you can detect the heat coming out of it a few feet away.Overall, I’m really impressed. Great value for the money.

Easy install & simple operation. Puts out decent heat as well. Gave 4 stars because the electric cord is very short. Make sure to install right next to an outlet.

We like the features of the unit, and how easily it integrates with our voice controlled home network. What we didn’t expect was support from the company when a surge blew our wifi board. They sent us a new one with an instructional video that made installation a snap. Even companies that build decent products don’t commonly support them to allow for maximum product life (keep them out of landfills!). This company bucks that trend. We have a larger unit in the same series, too, which we really like. And we will buy from this company again when we have the need.

I bought this on the advice of friends for heating small spaces. I have not had an opportunity to try it is yet. I purchased for a vacation rental that has baseboard heaters and will use it as a backup. I also purchased one for my sister and two more for my house. My friends review of this is phenomenal. Says she cut her electric heat bill from $200 down to $100 a month. She removed all her other baseboards and just uses the heat storm. I have another contractor friend friend who also install them as her only heat source and she swears by them.
