Great Item for the price but needs a steel holder for the thermostat.

Nothing like having one of your elements melt and not being able to find the same one! This one works great though. Plug and play was easy, the wife did it while I was at work. It’s been almost a year, still going strong.

I installed this on my water heater. Good thing I saved the old parts. After installing the next morning I had cold water. Double checked all of the wiring and made sure the breakers weren’t tripped. Disconnected all wires and reconnected, waited over 2 hours, still no hot water. Reinstalled old thermostats and everything is working fine. Not sure if this is the wrong kit for my heater or not, but I put my hot water heater information in the search area and this was recommended by Amazon. I should have bought factory replacement parts and waited a few days.
