If you are in the plumbing,HVAC trades and use a torch for pipe work.Do yourself and customers a favor and protect property from risk of fire.Use the fire blanket when brazing around combustibles.

I forgot to put the shield against the drywall once when I was soldering the second copper pipe. Trust me, I didn’t do that again. The drywall paper started smoking and turned black. After that, I made sure to secure the shield to the drywall. That pipe and the remaining 7 pipes all soldered without any other issues. The torch was oxyacetylene and the shield worked wonderfully. I would highly recommend it. I wouldn’t work without one ever again. It’s a truly must buy!!!

Great for tight spots. No worry about setting stuff on fire when soldering. I also use it over my LiPo batteries when charging as these have been known to catch fire.

It does not come as in the picture but I hope it will withstand the heat
