I like these things. We have 4 in our house. Our house doesn’t have central heat, it is zone heated with a mix of these and gas fireplaces. These are fairly quiet, look a lot better than most in wall heaters, more like a central heat register than an in wall heater. Work great in confined spaces like a bathroom. The “pick a watt” version has ridiculous instructions. They claim three different heat settings (wattages) yet the procedure for two of them results in the same wattage. It had been a while since I installed one and when I read the directions and realized the mistake, I thought I’d been through this before, years ago with one of these. But to be sure (it is an in wall electrical appliance after all), I sat on hold for technical support and was told the exact same thing as I was told years ago, mistake in the instructions that would be fixed.Just like I was told years ago.Just to be clear, this does require a line voltage thermostat or a relay to adapt it to a low voltage unit.A big visual upgrade from baseboards though and a pretty easy retrofit.

Heats up my old house made in the 60s when insulation was not as good and it was just some aluminum foil they thought of for insulation. Good system to heat a large space. I love it.

We bought 3 of these to replace the ceiling heat in bedrooms of a house we are remodeling. We used an updated LED screen honeywell thermostat reaplcement. Overall the installation now looks clean and a lot more modern with this heater designed more like a standard house vent vs the older style cadet heaters. I installed all 3 in about 2 hours. We had power to the old thermostats already and just cut out the sheetrock as instructed, ran the wires down that cavity and into the heater. Very simple. The one negative is the leg mounts could be removeable and it would be a lot easier to get it into the wall for old work where sheetrock is already up. Otherwise, it was fine and the vent cover fits perfectly over the square you cut out. We will always be buying these now vs the old style cheaper cadets. Very much worth it.

These work great but do not work with electronic thermostats very well. I would recommend mechanical thermostats or they will constantly turn off/on
