We needed something to heat our insulated two car garage and this was a perfect solution. It was very easy to install and has been working great. It seems to be very well made and I like that it is made in the USA by a great company that has been making heaters for many, many years. I am very impressed with everything about it.Our garage is about 564 sq ft and it has no problem maintaining the temperature without having to run very long to do so.I used a Honeywell T410A1013 wall thermostat to control this and removed the built-in thermostat. I ordered the grill plug directly from Cadet to cover the hole and the whole installation looks great. It runs fairly quiet; you can hear the fan blowing the air, but it’s not loud by any means.Overall, I am very happy with this unit and expect that we’ll get many, many years of use from it. I also like that Cadet has all the parts available for these, should anything need to be repaired or replaced.

The heater is said to heat up to 1000 square feet. This heater provides heat to the proximity of the heater. Not a fan. Wasted $229.00

I liked the fact that the kit had all necessary parts for installation. I’d read one review stating that it didn’t put out enough heat. At a full 4,000 Watts or ~13,500BTU it certainly puts out a lot of heat. I believe the poster may have hooked it up to 110VAC instead of 220VAC.This is installed in a 30 RV. The RV has a gas furnace, which has been disabled. The exhaust for the gas furnace is located in a glassed in screen room, so it’s unsafe to use. The Cadet heater will be more than adequate to meet our heating needs.. Great buy.

I have a 360 sq. ft. cabin that I put the 4000w unit in. Only intermittent use so cost of operation isn’t the most important need. I also installed a 2000W unit in a 240 sq. ft. room with all the plumbing. I can check the temperature and it is holding 42 deg. with temperatures down to 17 deg. Easily heats the room to 72 deg. when I’m there.

I use this to heat an area of 500+ s.f. in a finished basement. It works quickly and makes so little noise that you can easily hold conversation or hear a television over it. It can raise the temperature 5-10 degrees in just a few minutes.
