I installed this under the bathroom sink cabinet, controlled with a Honeywell Radiant Heating 120/240V Programmable Thermostat with Floor Sensor and GFCI (TH115-AF-GA).ProsThe combination works very well, and the heat is distributed at floor level where it’s needed most, and rises from convection. This has been a cold room for many years and it’s wonderful to do away with the unsightly portable heaters. The fan is audible but not too loud, and so far there haven’t been any issues with rattles or vibration. It only needs to run for a few minutes at a time because it’s a small room that comes up to temperature quickly and we keep the door closed even when nobody’s in it.ConsThe fan is audible (but not an issue to us). (Other people might be more sensitive to the noise. Quiet heaters wouldn’t circulate the heat as rapidly, and my wife didn’t want a flat panel heater on the wall. We don’t have room for a radiator that comes out from the wall.)It comes wired for 240v. The instructions for re-wiring to 120v are not clear because the unit itself is not labeled internally to match the instructions. It required deductive reasoning to label the terminals (which I did with a fine point marker before starting the changes). It would be easy to make an error without labeled terminals, and I hate to think of the possible consequences. Mine is working fine at 120v.

We have a small kitchen that is more of a hallway style kitchen, there was no source of heat for in the kitchen and in the winter time it would get really cold in the whole kitchen (about a 5’ by 15’ space). So we wanted to figure out a way to heat up the kitchen and it was between this toe-kick heater and a wall heater, we went with this toe-kick heater because it wouldn’t be as noticeable as a wall unit and we were hoping it would provide enough heat for the kitchen. We have had it installed for almost two months now and we are pretty happy with our decision. It heats up the entire kitchen space (after being on for an hour or so) We are very happy with the amount of heat it puts off, and the heater is hardly noticeable unless you know where it’s at (we installed it under our kitchen sink)! The only thing we don’t like about the heater is that it is very loud (in our opinion) ,we have a small house and can hear it from the main living areas of our home( it’s just the fan blower in the heater) but it’s one of those noises that if it’s on when you walk into the house you might not notice it, so that’s kind of nice. The unit is a little thick ( I just wish it was a little thinner) but it’s still very workable when installing. Overall this unit was a good choice for us because it keeps the space warm, is easy to use, it isn’t easily physically noticeable, and very importantly is that it’s a great value. Our only complaint is that we wish it was a little quieter, but we can deal with it because we use it as a supplemental heat source.

I wanted to give this product 5 stars but the noise level is just too high. It does have a built in thermostat on the unit itself. It’s 240v and can be converted to 120 internally. At 240v it definitely has a high heat output, not sure what the electric cost is going to be since it’s just getting cold here in PA and I just started using it.Overall built well and seems to be a good value for the money, BUT too noisy to run with guests over only because we have the kitchen and dining room connected, open floor plan. I would buy this again.

This works for our bathroom but I really wish the fan had a few speeds. The only one offered is loud. I have the heat set to almost the lowest setting and it seems to work fine. But because of this I can’t really comment on the heat output since so haven’t used it in really cold temps yet.

The Broan kickboard heater is built in such a way that additional work is necessary. The front panel does not have any trim so cuts in the cabinet must be exact, but even at that is appears unfinished and additional trim is required to give it a fully finished look. The unit was delivered wired for 220 volt and had to be rewired for 120 volt operation. It is fairly straight forward. The main downsides to this unit is that it is does not have any color options. I would have preferred a black unit, which would match the surrounding appliances in our motorhome. It does produce heat adequetly, but as mentioned in earlier reviews, at the cost of the sounds of TORNADO WINDS!

Brian products are by far superior to off brand. We have used this toe kick heater in several homes and people are totally satisfied!

A good product that lasts for years with occasional use in winter months.

It seems like the fan is too strong to allow the heat to be felt. I had another brand with same rating but it burned out. It seemed hotter than this one. There’s no way to regulate the fan speed, so it seems to cool off the air too much. Overall it’s good for the price, it was a little bit smaller than the original so we had to add some extra side plates to anchor it in. Other places wanted 2-3x $$$. I’m very happy with this heater, so buy it, I think you’ll like it too. Nice heat output, fan is a little bit strong.
