These hard mantles are hard to find in Alaska and a must for the propane lights. These shipped quickly, were packaged separately in hard cases for storage. Be careful with the first lighting, when you burn off the protective coating. Read the instructions carefully, and do not EVER touch the mantle with a match or lighter. It will shatter and you will be done! These put out a bright white light, and are indispensible on a dark winter night! Thanks for an excellent product, at a good price!

Mantle fit perfectly and works well. I saw a different review on these that stated 4 pcs are included in the shipment, this is not the case. I gave it four stars because of the high cost for one mantle.

We’ve lived off the grid for six years now and have use this brand of mantle from various dealers on our Falk wall gas lights. They last about six months with the best care and we’ve had some last much shorter than that. This most recent time being as super careful as usual, I installed a new one following the directions, burned off the protective coating and then lit with the fuel on; but when I went to put the glass back on the mantle broke completely free from the ceramic ring and fell to the ground with just the slightest tap of the outside of the light mechanism. Is this a defect? I’m not sure but based on how well the others have done over the years I’m gonna hope it was just a fluke. Oh, and be forewarned, that protective coating REEKS when it’s burned off.

This is a reorder, I like the product and will continue to use them at our camp.Although the price nearly doubled since I bough them last

I purchased 3 mantles. 2 of them arrived in perfect condition, but 1 was damaged during shipping. The return was easy and a replacement was in my hand in just a couple days. Great product and wonderful customer service!

The product appeared to be similar to what is being used although not the same brand. The last of our current mantles were wearing out. I will not be able o comment on how well they worked until next spring. These are for a cabin in the woods of northern Minnesota. There is considerable snow on the ground there and getting very cold at night.

Product is used for our gas lights in house

Put it in the lantern and lit it, immediately fell apart and sent glowing embers flying around almost lighting a rug in fire
