I bought this heater for my basement workshop. 400 square feet, concrete floor and block walls. I have a 40 gallon water heater boiler system setup, that maintains a 140 degree temp. With Milwaukee weather at 20 degrees outside, it took my basement temp of 55 degrees to 65 degrees in just a few hours. Floors and walls were probably stabilized at 55 prior to starting heater.Fan noise?…not an issue for me. Would not call it quiet, but rather expected from a fan that claims to push 500 plus cfm. Would compare it to the fan in your car at full blast…you can hear it, but eventually tune it out because you know it is blasting heat.It has been below zero here for the last couple days, and heater is able to maintain 65 degrees. Cycles a bit, but I would expect this. Pleased with its performance. It is listed to have “one inch copper feed”…which was not specific as to whether it was threaded…it is not. So you will have to solder this heater into your system.I will say, and you can look at the picture I attached, there is zero vibration on the upstairs floor, when you mount it to your floor joists…if using in the basement. I was concerned about this, but very pleased with its operation. In fact, the fan is tight, and metal enclosure is solid…so no rattling or minor metal vibration at all.As for the 50,000 BTU rating…no clue as to how to determine what I am getting. I am only pushing 140 degree water through it. The online BTU calculators told me I only needed a heater half this size…decided not to take a chance and go bigger. Very happy with my purchase. Been running flawlessly for four days.Last item…I did not buy a 110 volt thermostat. I used my old 24v relay, to feed 110 volts to the fan. A lot more options in thermostats when you go this route. If you don’t know what I mean, it is probably best you stick with the recommended 110 volt thermostat.I know this is a long review, but it is what I wanted to read before purchasing this heater. So I wanted to share my experiences and observations. I recommend this heater to anyone looking for an industrial like heater.

Ordered this unit to replace an old unit I had that had sprung a leak. When the heater had some damage to one of the inlets from shipping. I contacted the seller about the problem. They immediately issued a return authorization and shipping label. I received my replacement unit today, less than a week from when I shipped the old one back. Could not ask for more.Oh, and the heater is a nice little unit. Not fancy, but well put together. I don’t understand those who complain about the fan being noisy…it has a fan which has a noise level you would expect from your standard window fan.

Very nice unit. Working GREAT!!! I wish the wiring diagram would come with the unit. Thankful for the Reviews that said how to wire it up. Heating a 22’x24′ basement and upstairs room. Great price and easy to install. Relatively quiet.

This unit is awesome I have purchased 2 now 1 for my 1100 sqft basement and one for my 1200 sqft garage. I’m running water temp at 140 and it keeps my basement at 70 degrees garage its a back up for extreme cold weather. Running off my efm coal boiler and couldn’t be happier. The price is right and works awesome.

We had infloor heat in the adjoining building so going with hot water heat in the shop was a great choice. I’m working with solvents and dust, neither which mix well with a gas fired heater. This is safe, does a nice job of keeping the temps up. Live in mid Wisconsin, throws enough heat for a 12 x 24 insulated room that you don’t need to run it constantly. Paired it with a thermostat plug for easy use.

This looks like a well-made product however I had to return it because my plumber couldn’t install it on the existing basement hydronic zone and adding a new zone just for the garage was going to cost about $3500. I decided to return and I was shocked when I figured out that I can’t just drop this off to Amazon like any other Prime returns. I lost about $60 out of pocket on Fedex shipping and restocking fees, for returning an unused product. I contacted the seller using amazon chat and I was told to pay them for the label but there was no way of actually providing the payment information for that because amazon strips phone and email contact info from their chat. So overall be sure that you actually can install this or you will waste time and money returning it.

Great unit for the price. I used it to add heat to my garage by tapping off an existing zone with zone valves.
